In the Summertime – Laser inspired things to do this summer! 14 Jul 2022
Sun’s out, a nice few days annual leave booked, nothing particularly planned…
If you are looking for some things to do this summer and need some inspiration, why not take a visit to some of the amazing projects that we have been involved in or places we work with?
We love working on all sorts of different projects, whether it is behind the scenes stuff you can’t see or it’s the main attraction, we offer services for both and everything in between!
Here are just a few places we wanted to share with you… (Art galleries are a great place to cool off too!)
Fiona Grady: Capturing Light
9 June – 23 July
We’ve been working with Fiona for a little while now, laser cutting acrylic for her artwork. She has a show called Capturing Light on until 23rd July at The Foundry Gallery in London.

Capturing Light at The Foundry Gallery
9 June – 23 July
The Foundry Gallery, 39 Old Church Street, Chelsea, London, SW3 5BS (nearest tube Sloane Square / South Kensington)
Tuesday to Thursday 11-4pm and advertised weekends, or by appointment
Lisa Traxler: Time Traveller
2 July – 8 October 2022

In 2020 Lisa Traxler was awarded first place in Southampton City Art Gallery’s Open Exhibition with her sculpture, ‘Time Traveller – Voyager’ which was inspired by a painting from Southampton’s Maritime and Local History Collection ‘Approach to the New World (Olympic)’ by artist Norman Wilkinson.
Taking her winning entry as a reference point, history and architecture collide in this exhibition to create an immersive landscape within the gallery setting.
Alongside dazzle artworks the artist has created a new series of sculptures transforming and dissecting previous works.
Artist talk and tour: Saturday 10 September 2022, 2pm and 3.30pm
WWI War Memorial
Victoria Embankment, Nottingham
Back in 2019 CutLaserCut was honoured to have been involved with this incredible war memorial which remembers those lost to The Great War from Nottingham

If your looking for things to do this summer is well worth a visit. You can read more about it here
Light Lines, WWI Memorial
Churchfield Peace Gardens, Barnsley

This Incredible war memorial is made from clear acrylic and engraved with all of the faces of the 300 men from the town who lost their lives on the first day of the battle, on July 1, 1916 – the heaviest loss of life in a single day in British Military history.
The memorial was originally outside the town hall, but has now been moved to the Churchfield Peace Gardens.
Conquer Lakes
The Lake District
We supply the lovely Caroline and her team at Conquer Lake District with display units so she can present her wonderful wares in a great way.

Caroline is opening a new shop on August 1st in Keswick, which if visiting the lakes is on your list of things to do this summer then this should be a must on your itinerary!
The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary
Isle of Wight
CutLaserCut have done a few different jobs for The Wildheart animal sanctuary over the years, so although we weren’t involved in this wonderful new addition of a primate habitat, we are all very excited to visit!

This place is worth a visit if you’re down south and looking for things to do this summer, they have a wide range of animals to see in a peaceful and beautiful setting.
The sanctuary is dedicated to the protection of rescued and threatened wildlife.
