Solenne Morigeaud is a Paris born surface designer. Her work reflects a perpetual interest in the philosophy of textile design and ambiguity of perception. She has worked with several fashion designers including Christian Lacroix and Christian Dior.
The following pieces form part of a collection entitled ‘Smoke and Mirrors.’ Each piece is designed to blur and interact with our perception. The mirrors are etched to create illusions of depth.
For this process, Solennes artwork was reversed and engraved onto the rear mirror surface making it translucent when viewed from the reflective side.
